Project Goals

Goal 1:

  • I will use my leadership position to prepare, set up, and facilitate the activities for my fraternity.

  • I was able to achieve this goal because by planning and preparing ahead of time, along with the help of all of my Sigma Chi brothers.

Goal 2:

  • I will use this position to make sure the events run smoothly and to ultimately gain leadership experience.

  • For the most part, I was able to accomplish this goal. Most of the activities ran well, but a few of them had some minor hiccups. In the end, it was a successful pledge process and everything went well.

Goal 3:

  • I will use this position to give my perspective and input during executive council meetings to help influence the decisions that need to be made for the chapter as a whole.

  • I was able to achieve this goal by attending executive council meetings every week during the fall semester, where I gave my input on important issues and events that took place in our chapter.

Outcomes

Outcome 1:

By completing my first goal, I contributed to the mentorship and teaching of the potential members of our fraternity, and ended up having a successful recruitment semester for Sigma Chi. The benefit of this outcome is that there are now 11 more members of Sigma Chi that can contribute to our fraternity in the future.

Outcome 2:

By completing my second goal, I helped facilitate successful activities for the pledges and created an effective environment for them to learn about our fraternity. The benefit of this outcome is that the new members can take what they learned throughout the pledge process, and apply those things to their future in Sigma Chi to continue being a successful organization.

Outcome 3:

By completing my third goal, important issues within our chapter were handled and solved effectively. All of the decisions that are made in our chapter are done by voting, so my vote played a crucial role in having a successful semester as a chapter.
